What is it?
Host family stay is the accommodation provided by UK families to overseas Chinese students. When Chinese students have their short-term or long-term study tour in the UK, they need proper housing. Sometimes they manage their own if they have any relatives in the country. Sometimes the school or educational institute they are enrolled in provides them. And if not, they have the option of host family stay. In hosting services, the family is responsible for providing them with meals, a bed to sleep, peaceful study area, transportation and healthy welcoming environment.
How does it work?
We invite leadership of a few schools from UK to join the trip. They might be headteachers, deputy heads, department heads, etc.
We will arrange all the transportation and accommodation for them and the schedule of the trip will be set according to their feasibility.
In their journey, they will get to visit different schools, including the best ones who are providing quality education, twinning schools and also charity funded schools with limited resources.
What benefit does it bring to you?
- You will get an excellent chance to exchange information. Through conversations and activities, you will get to increase knowledge and will know about the perspectives that you usually don't get to see or hear about China.
- Your children will develop an interest to learn the Chinese language and having an overseas guest will provide them with an opportunity to seek help if they are learning Chinese.
- A healthy international friendship will develop among the residents. It may lead you to visit China for opportunities.
- It is exciting to have a foreign guest. You get to know interesting facts about their culture, they absorb your cultural aspects. Overall it is always a pleasant experience for both.
- Your children will learn the ethics and manners of hosting.
